FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES CONCEPT: Students, parents, and community members facilitate a live concert hosted at CHS or at Kirland's KTUB Students volunteer time and energy in setting up, tearing down, and facilitating this indoor live music event. DATE: 2009--TBA PLACE: 2009--KTUB in Kirkland (http://www.ktub.org/) PROGRESS REPORT: The 07-08 BOB was held @ KTUB with 7 great performances/bands. over $1,500 in prizes and gifts were awarded to all bands. CONTACT FOR MORE INFO: Looking for 08-09 Student and Parent Leaders MUSIC LESSONS: CONCEPT: CHS students promote higher musicianship and adventures in music through teacher 5th-8th grade student. CHS Band members volunteer time; elementary and middle school age students pay $10 per 1/2 hour group lesson on their respectiv instrument. DATE: Ongoing PLACE: CHS Music Room & Practice Rooms PROGRESS REPORT: This is new proposal that will take shape as students/parents/staff work to stabilize events, activities, and lessons. Stay tuned for dates, times, and other adventures. STUDENTS/PARENTS IN CHARGE: T. Davis CONCEPT: Students, parents, and community members can assist with the running of the CHS Music Dept. Espresso Cart--Redwolf Java. Students must sign a waiver; all workers must show proof of a current food handlers permit. DATE: Ongoing PLACE: CHS Commons and stadium concession stands. PROGRESS REPORT: CHS Music Dept. provides a consistent stream of hot and cold espresso drinks during early morning and after school events. This fundraiser is made possible by a local donation in 06-07 for the purpose of raising funds for CHS Musicians. STUDENTS/PARENTS IN CHARGE: S. MacMinn B. Kelley CAR WASHES Earn RHYTHM Merits! All car washes start @ 10AM and continue until 2PM. Students sign in and sign-out for hourly 'share' of the total profit. Students should be prepared to stay for at least 2 hours. Chaperones are always needed! Bring your own sponge, water to drink, and some snacks; Be prepared to get wet! WHERE: TBA WHEN: TBA JAZZ NIGHT A general fund raiser for the benefit of the Jazz Band and Jazz Choir. CONCEPT: Students, parents, and community members are invited to attend this wonderful night of Big Band and Vocal Jazz presented by CHS Music Students and guest artists (TBA). DATE: TBA PLACE: CHS Theatre This is how simple it is. 1. Go to the website. 2. Use ‘RHYTHM’ as the organization. 3. Create a username and password. 4. Donations are made to RHYTHM through eScrip Organizations (ie: Safeway, etc.). You do not pay a cent! 5. In order to increase the possibilities for more $$$ donations, register a debit or credit card and shop through the eScrip on-line mall.
